Process_Description:
RIGIS E911 road centerlines based on 1:5000 arial photography with address and address ranges were initially used to geocode addresses of police stations using addresses as listed in the Directory of City and Twon Officials. Locations were refined by moving geocoded points over buildings as shown on 1997 1:5000 digital orthophotos using ESRI ArcView software. Attributes were manually entered from information in the Directory of City and Town Officials and web pages for the RI State Police and municipalities.
