| Trainings for the Urban
Land Reform Information System are given by the staff of The Providence
Plan. Specifically, trainings provide users with an overview of
data and indicators, how to use and understand data, and the definitions
and limitations of specific data items. It also highlights how users
can use the Property Search Tool to track trends in their neighborhood
and use this information strategically in their work toward improving
neighborhoods.
A better understanding of the information available
through this project will enhance user ability to select, interpret,
and present data for use in policy-making, fund raising, grant writing,
economic development activities, and advocacy.
Trainings can be tailored to a variety of
participants and skill levels, and adapted to fit specific goals
and interests. Throughout this past year, the ProvPlan has provided
training to non-profit groups, funders, city agencies, and several
others. ProvPlan staff are available to conduct customized training
on an as-needed basis. Contact Amy
Pettine for more information.
